From What I've Tasted of Desire, I Hold With Those Who Favor Fire

This look I wore to a flea market today, sans the heels. Instead I wore my trusty Converse sneakers, pictured in the photograph of me outside. These jeans I am OBSESSED with! I recently got them at a thrift store in LA called Wasteland. They were just too good to be true. So when I got home, I looked up the company, Work Custom Jeans, only to find out that I had spent 30 bucks on a pair of $200 jeans. That right there is the sole purpose of why I go thrift shopping. I also got an Hermes scarf book of about 30 different ways to wear scarves. This is just one of them. My new obsession, other than the jeans of course: scarves. Also ear cuffs, which the one I am wearing cannot be seen :(. A hand-me-down from my mother. I believe it is time for a well-needed shopping spree........And thanks to my dad and his amazing new camera for the photography!

Amazing Accessories of 2011

These are some of the most fabulous accessories of 2011! Designers include Miu Miu, Hermes, Christian Louboutin, Alice + Olivia (a personal favorite, especially for the spring 2012 campaign!), Acne, 3.1 Phillip Limm, Alexander Wang, and Mary Katrantzou. Some big hits, especially, have been Hermes' Birkin Bag and Alexander Wang's silver loafer heel. I personally have no preference over another, as I want them all! I mean, who wouldn't? The craftsmanship and artistic-ness are to die for. Well done designers of 2011!

Wild Child

I love this look! This dress is now my favorite. It's a Juicy Couture knit cotton dress. I love everything about it-the print, the fabric, the functionality! The animal print makes it really fun and the length and fabric makes it wearable any time of the year. In fact, I wore this dress on my birthday this November. And Boston is COLD this time of year! The shoes I recently got for cheap at an antiques store. They're velvet with rhinestones on the toes. I absolutely love them. And, now, I have a total of 9 bracelets/bangles on my wrist. the biggest one-a gold colored one-is also vintage. I got it along with the shoes. I love this outfit, and can't wait to wear it on New Year's!

I Love Vintage

Vintage is something that never goes out of style. Finding old things that match today's fashion world at a tenth of the designer price is downright exhilarating. This scarf is not vintage, however, but an awesome present and item to wear. The pin and ring is vintage. I love this lace top because of its flowy-ness. It gives off a sort of hippie vibe, with its longer sides. And the boots are cowboy-chic without screaming that I'm from the West. The height and simpleness makes them go with everyday wear. I love this outfit because of the items in it! The shirt, boots, and scarf just scream my style.

Candy Land

I was inspired by the board game Candy Land for this look. I love the brightness of it. The belt I actually had gotten when I was much younger (like two or three) and I recently found it in my belt drawer. The cardigan is from my very fashion-forward aunt. She sent it, saying that she thought it would look cute belted at the waist. I, of course, agree. This look, however, I decided that I wanted to belt the shirt (which is a vintage crochet Ralph Lauren from my mom). The pants are corduroy and one of my favorite pairs. The wedges, by Jessica Simpson, are my favorite pair. The color is my favorite shade of blue, so I guess that could account for my preference.

Thank You, Grandma!

This look is one I've been obsessed with lately. I was just trying on random clothes in my room one night, thought this combination would be cute, put it on, and voila! This sweater is super chic and a half crop. It's shorter in the front and longer in the back, is what I'm trying to say. Is there even a technical name for that? Well, it's one of my favorite long sleeves. The skirt is awesome. I just recently got them from my Grandma (who handmade them for my mom and aunts) and seriously need to be ironed, but I just couldn't wait! They are very high waisted, super itchy, and definitely worth it. This one just happens to be my favorite. Along with the three short ones, there are three long ones, which will be perfect for the upcoming freezing months. These wedges are also my favorite pair. Aside from staying on my feet better, they're much more comfortable and feel like walking in sandals that have a slight slope. Unfortunately, they don't have a lot of traction, so that's something I've learned to cope with. But, anyways, thank you Grandma!

Boots!

I love this look, and unfortunately, it didn't come out the way I wanted it to. I look a little boyish :/ and the pics not as close as I wanted it to be...but the outfit itself is fabulous! The boots, however, are what really top it off. These boots by John Fluevog are just....I don't even have words for them. I fell in love with them upon first seeing them and knew I had to have them. It took some convincing, but I finally persuaded my mom to buy these for me (and they weren't cheap)! I also really love the shirt, the blazer is something I absolutely adore, and my hat is super comfortable. When I had long hair, this beanie looked great on me, but now I'm worried I look a little too tom-boyish. Oh well. The hat's comfortable, and this outfit is one of my favorites!
